The Secret Kingdom of Melodia 3CD

Released alongside Tomorrowland Belgium 2015, The Secret Kingdom of Melodia, this elaborate 3CD compilation captures the musical atmosphere of one of Tomorrowland’s most imaginative editions. Rather than presenting a straightforward collection of individual tracks, the release is built around six exclusive DJ mixes, bringing together several of the artists who defined the festival and electronic music scene of the period.

Across the three discs, the mixes are provided by Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Robin Schulz and Steve Angello. Each artist contributes approximately a 30-minute mix, giving the compilation a varied journey through trance, progressive and electro house, future house and the more melodic sounds that were prominent during the 2015 festival season.

The physical presentation is an important part of this edition. Instead of a conventional plastic CD case, the discs are incorporated into a hardcover, book-like package decorated in the fantasy aesthetic of Melodia. The front features an ornate harp surrounded by elaborate pink, gold and dark-purple detailing, while the interior artwork continues into an enchanted landscape of vegetation, flowers and musical imagery. The supplied photographs also show dedicated pages for the different DJs, combining track information with photographs from Tomorrowland.

With its combination of music, festival photography and highly detailed themed artwork, Tomorrowland 2015 – The Secret Kingdom of Melodia is more than a festival compilation. It serves as a physical souvenir of the 2015 chapter of Tomorrowland and a particularly attractive piece for collectors building a chronological collection of the festival’s official CD releases.
