The Story of Planaxis CD

Released alongside Tomorrowland Belgium 2018, The Story of Planaxis is the official compilation created for one of Tomorrowland’s most distinctive themes. The 2018 edition transported the People of Tomorrow into the mysterious underwater world of Planaxis, and this physical release carries that visual identity throughout its elaborate presentation.

Released on 20 July 2018, the compilation consists of three CDs. The first two discs feature exclusive Friends of Tomorrowland mixes by Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Lost Frequencies, while the third disc contains the dedicated Tomorrowland Mix 2018.

Rather than being presented in a conventional plastic CD case, this edition was issued as a Deluxe Mediabook with a 40-page photo booklet. As visible in this example, the dark blue exterior is decorated with copper/gold-coloured Planaxis artwork, technical drawings and the characteristic 2018 emblem. Inside, the design continues like an explorer's notebook or scientific blueprint, with sketches of marine life, handwritten-style notes, artist pages and photographs from Tomorrowland.
