Tomorrowland 2018 Stamps & Musical Postcards

For the 2018 edition of Tomorrowland, Tomorrowland and Belgian postal service bpost collaborated on one of the festival’s most unusual pieces of memorabilia: an official Tomorrowland postage stamp sheet accompanied by a set of playable musical postcards. The release brought together philately, Tomorrowland’s visual universe and electronic music in a collectible that could actually be used to send mail—or even played like a record.

The design uses an elegant vintage aesthetic in cream, sepia and gold, decorated with the Tomorrowland butterfly emblem, airships, maps, ornamental flourishes and the familiar motto “Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever.” The official stamp sheet contained five Belgian “1 World” stamps, with a special gold print adding to its premium appearance. Tomorrowland itself was responsible for selecting the stamp design.

Highlights

• Official 2018 Belgian postal issue created in collaboration with bpost.
• Stamp sheet containing five Tomorrowland stamps, presented with distinctive gold printing.
• Collector package included five identical musical postcards together with the stamp sheet.
• Supplied in a decorative cardboard presentation envelope with a Japanese-style closure.
• The spiral musical artwork on the postcard was functional: the card could be placed on a vinyl turntable and physically played.
• It played “Universal Nation” by Push, one of Belgium's best-known electronic dance classics.
• For people without a turntable, Tomorrowland also provided a digital experience: placing a smartphone on the postcard through the dedicated Tomorrowland Stamp website played a version of “Universal Nation” by The Symphony of Unity, live at Tomorrowland.
• The complete postcard set originally retailed through bpost for €27.90.

The 2018 stamps could also be used at Tomorrowland's own festival post office, allowing visitors to send a physical memory of the festival around the world.
